One of the most commonly asked questions here at Honey Bee Therapy is What is the difference between swedish, deep tissue and aromatherapy massage?
A Swedish massage is generally a firmer massage using a carrier oil such as sweet almond , Camelia, grapeseed focusing on three main massage movements effleurage pestrissage and tapotement . Aromatherapy is a more relaxed and soothing massage due the fact we use specialist aromatherapy oils specifically selected to suit your needs and designed to boost your bodies needs, leaving you feeling uplifted, relaxed or detoxed. Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage as we generally use carrier oils but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle pain. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue and tendons.
